Mission

To make disciples.

That's what we are instructed to do. We are givien this mission in a passage of scripture commonly called 'The Great Commission' Which is a CO-Mission, where we partner with Christ himself to accomplish his work in the world.

It's found in Matthew 28:

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20)

So while different churches have different methods and visions for how that is to happen, we all share the same CO-Mission, and that is to make disciples, which is to say Christ-followers.

Vision

To raise up a great and influential church that clearly exhibits life the way God intended it - the life we could never deserve - enjoyed from the place of His grace.

Now what does that mean? That means that in all we do, we are encouraging people to follow God. And to surrender all of our life to the Lordship of Jesus. Where all of our life is informed by him. We see the life that God has called us to live and run after that with our whole heart.

Method

Which bring us to our method. How do we reach our city for Christ? Well, we preach the gospel. The gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ. And we don't just preach the gospel with our words it's with our actions.

We preach the gospel in both word and deed.

That means that we preach the truth of Jesus Christ with our words and we also put on display the gospel of Jesus through our actions. So we care for the hurting, we pray for the sick, we feed the poor, we help those in need. Word and deed must always go hand in hand.

If we only preach the gospel with our words, but we don't put the gospel on display with our actions, Jesus warns that we become salt that has lost its saltiness, and people will reject what we say. On the other hand, if we just put the gospel on display with our actions, but never preach the gospel with our words, we become just another charity organization and we never equip people to bring real life change; with the saving, empowering grace of Jesus Christ.

Values

Biblical Authority and its Application

We are committed to the clear and accurate communication of God's Word in a way that ministers grace and urges obedience.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 | James 1:22

Honest, Heartfelt, Passionate Praise and Adoring Worship

We are committed to becoming the kind of people the Father is seeking. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration.
John 4:23-24

Prayerfulness

We believe that God desires his people to pray and that he hears and answers prayer. Prayer changes people - and changed people change things. We are committed to bathing our lives and activities with prayer with the understanding that nothing significant or lasting occurs apart from it.
Matthew 7:7-11 | James 5:13-18

The Power of God's Presence

We are committed to the continuation of the rich heritage of the manifestations of the Holy Spirit enjoyed by the church since its beginning.
Ephesians 5:18 | 1 Corinthians 12:31 | Romans 8:12-14

The Opportunity to Win Others to Christ and Disciple Them

We are committed to the worldwide expansion of the Kingdom of God. We believe that God desires for us to reach as many as possible with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. It is our intention to fulfill the Great Commission in our generation.
Matthew 28:18-20 | Ephesians 4:12

Gracious Generosity

We are committed to living out the dynamic spirit of the cross through selfless, sacrificial, and liberal acts of giving. We believe that it is not only an act of worship but our responsibility to bring tithes and offerings from our substance and freely give ourselves in service to others.
2 Corinthians 8:7-15 | 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 | Malachi 3:10

Unity and Teamwork

We are committed to serving God with oneness of purpose and singleness of heart, pursuing life-changing relationships with those gifted by God to lead us and with one another in the church. We hold the sincere conviction that Christ cannot be faithfully represented to others by a strife-ridden and divided church.
1 Corinthians 1:10 | 13 | 1 Corinthians 12:27 | Hebrews 13:17 | Romans 12:10
